To the Northlawn UMC Community -
The Northlawn Administrative Team strongly encourages all attendees to wear masks to our indoor worship services and meetings regardless of vaccination status. At this time we are not requiring attendees to wear masks, but ask that you consider taking this step out of caution and love for our neighbors and those most vulnerable (including our children and the immune-compromised).
Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, Northlawn has followed the guidance of the CDC, Michigan Department of Health and Kent County Health Department. We met on Monday, August 16, and made this decision based on current data, information, and guidance regarding the rapid rise in Covid-19 cases from the Delta variant.
Our Admin Team will continue to closely monitor guidance and our local numbers to determine our course of action moving forward.
If you are not yet vaccinated, we encourage you to consult your personal physician and prayerfully consider getting the vaccine.
It is understood that we might be moving too fast for some and too slow for others in the way that we are navigating the pandemic. Please know that we are faithfully trying to show love to one another in the way that we gather, the way that we worship, and the way that we show grace to those around us.
I personally thank you for your grace and understanding every step of the way as we seek to do no harm, do good, and stay in love with God.
In Christ’s love -
Pastor Zach McNees
